EOS Hellenic Renaissance Fund (EHRF) invests in Hellenic Juices

EHRF, managed by EOS Capital Partners (EOS), announces its eighth investment of €16m in Hellenic Juices, a leading Company in the production of juices and fresh drinks.

About Hellenic Juices

The Company was founded in 2003 in the industrial area of Larissa, Greece, and it has a very strong sales network in Greece and abroad, while it is very well known for its delicious juices and fresh drinks of high-quality standards (international quality certifications ISO 9001:2015, ISO 22000:2005, BRC v7, IFS v6.1).

Company’s product portfolio consists of the brands Viva, Viva slim, Belo and Viva fresh (passata), while some of the leading supermarket chains in Greece trust also Hellenic Juices for their private label series of juices.

The Company has its own state of the arts production facilities of 13,500 sqm and an ultramodern plant of 5.600 sqm., in a privately owned space of 20,000 sqm in the industrial area of Larissa. Company’s plant has 4 independent production lines, while during FY21 the Company implemented an upgrade of the production facilities (c. €4m investment) which led to an increase of its total production capacity from 34,000 packs per hour to 42,000.

The Company consistently delivered sales of c. €25m during the last five years, at a very attractive EBITDA margin of c. 20%, as the fully automated facilities combined with the significant production volumes allowed the Company to operate at high profit margins, positioning itself at the higher end of the market vis a vis its competitors.

EOS is the external Alternative Investment Fund Manager of EHRF, a private equity fund with approx. € 150m in AUM, focusing on growth capital investments in Greek SMEs across all sectors. The key cornerstone for the creation of EHRF, was its participation in the Equifund Fund of Funds program. EquiFund investment platform is an initiative created by cooperation between the Hellenic Republic and EIF. It is financed by the Greek ESIF Fund of Funds TAESYM under the European Union / European Regional Development Fund / Operational Programme EPANEK, the EIF and private investors, with the objective to facilitate access to finance, mainly to SMEs, by developing the Venture Capital/Private Equity (“VC/PE”) in Greece in cooperation with selected Financial Intermediaries.

EOS investment strategy focuses on SMEs with a healthy financial position and a solid value proposition looking for capital to achieve their growth potential either organically or inorganically through mergers and acquisitions.
